VDI- Mixer Amplifier Multiplier Chains (MixAMCs)

VDI's MixAMCs provide high performance broad-band down-conversion and frequency extension of microwave spectrum analyzers into the THz range. Models are currently available for coverage from 75 GHz-1,100 GHz with additional bands under development. These modules achieve low-conversion loss and excellent noise figure. Standard features include broadband IF up to 20 GHz for block down-conversion. A VDI-175 power supply is required.

Performance options include micrometer driven RF attenuators, waveguide twists, test ports, and horn antennas for free-space coupling. On models from WR3.4 to WR1.0, broadband IF up to 40GHz is available upon request. VDI MixAMCs offer full waveguide band coverage and turn-key operation. They are housed in 8” x 5” x 3” enclosures suitable for standalone operation or optical table & probe station mounting.
